2024 Competition Team

Welcome to the Showtime Experience! Where friends become family, Here at Showtime we strive to have the best program for our students! Our students learn, grow and excel in our compassionate and supportive environment. Joining our team, students will build confidence, self-esteem, lifelong friendships and problem solving skills. Our Team Members will advance in Dance, Gymnastics, Acro techniques, team building skills, artistic expression and strength!  It is of the utmost importance that each dancer and parent have  read all rules and guidelines. Any dancer or tumbler, is eligible to join our competition teams. Younger students are eligible to participate with specific invitation from the studio owner or competition instructor. All students who auditioned or have been invited will be placed on a team with other students with similartes in  skill, level and age In order to be placed on the correct team and/or determine if they are ready to be a competitive dancer.  Teams are based on technique, age, ability, attitude, maturity, motivation, commitment, and strength. Students learn a verity of ballet and other dance techniques, knowledge of dance terminology, flexibility, musicality, performance quality, and properly executed leaps, jumps, and turns, or applicable techniques. We have a parent  meeting for new  members to the Team along with a lesson/clinic before the audition/try outs for Team Placements .

Our Recreational team is for our students who have excelled rapidly with their recital classes this past season. Join a team with other students who have similarities in skill, age and performance level.  there is no audition or tryout! The Recreational Team members will still take their current or future recital classes of their choice! The Recreational Team is simple and easy especially for those who participate in other sports and already have a busy schedule! This allows students to do what they love all around! We offer many different payment plan options that can help with any budget.. we feel it’s important to allow students to participate in the most comfortable way possible even for their families! The SDTC recreational team will have ONE routine to participate/perform in. The Recreational Team will perform at 2 local events & our end of the season recital show!

Showtime Competitive team members have an unforgettable experience every season, we have been awarded many achievements including: First place category wins, first place overall wins, judges choice awards, special invites to New York and Hollywood. We’ve been recognized for our Entertainment, Choreography and Costuming. Join our team and shine bright with us! The Competitive Team will perform at 4 local events and 1 event within 2 hours from our facility, as well as Recital and National Finals in the Summer.

Students who compete in the Acro routines are required to  take a Acro/Tumbling Class.

Recreational Teams are required a minimum of 1 day per week of  Training at the studio.

Competitive Teams are required a minimum of 2-3 days per week of training at the studio.

Students are able but limited to, to take two recreational classes.

Students who are on the Elite Team ;  must  limit themselves with other sports  &  activities, especially during the  summer,  choreography,  training  &  during  Competition Season.

Elite members are the top tier groups of the teams each season, in order to have the title the title must be played the part. 

Ballet/Technique Class:  Black Leotard, Pink Tights, Pink Ballet Shoes.

Acro/Tumbling Class:  Any Color leotard or Sport bra and Shorts are  Allowed.  No  shoes  only  paws  accpeted .

All Team Practices:  Any color leotard or Team practice wear, tan or pink tights, Correct Dance Shoes

Recital Classes: Any Dance/Gymnastics Wear, Correct Dance  Shoes  

Team  Camps/Training  Classes: Any Dance/Gymnastics Wear, Correct Dance  Shoes  

Once your monthly plan has been set you’ll receive an invoice from our director  Of  Your monthly cost.  We make it affordable for everyone!

Competition List of Dates, Locations and all other important info will be released in  our Competition Team Packet. Recreational Teams attend 2 local events, Competitve Teams attend 4 local events and 1 out of town. All teams perform at recital.

Competition Prep Class is to prepare all company members for performing  on stage and competing during the season. Comp prep starts in  November and will end in the last week of January.  CP is Only a once a week class.
